An Update

For the information of the reader, future or present, the first issue of Scarlet Words is forthcoming...in the next few days. I have recieved fascinating and ecclectic work from a number of "Birmingham-area-luminaries" who, unsurprisingly, have some tie to my own life, be they family, classmates, or old friends. Do NOT, proverbial reader, let that delude you into a sense of flippancy about this lit mag--I am dead serious about the work that is going out in this magazine. I will represent only the best of the best, the strongest amateur (and one or two professional) writers and their strongest works.

As I say, forthcoming, forthcoming, watch yonder horizon for the coming glimpse of sail.

Scarlet Words

Greeting, readers and browsers and chance-upons, this is Scarlet Words, a free junior writing magazine available online from students at the Alabama School of Fine Arts. Our goal is to provide voice for the voices rarely heard, for the poetry and fiction which has so long gone unnoticed to be discovered and enjoyed. The first sample of work will emerge shortly on the blog.
